  • A western Sydney woman has been charged with a string of drug offences after being caught in a NSW Police sting into a prison trafficking racket.

The 32-year-old was arrested after police raided her Greenacre home on Friday where it's alleged they found drugs, cash and prescription medication.

She has been charged with nine offences including four counts of supplying a prohibited drug, dealing with the proceeds of crime and corruptly give/offer to an agent.

She has also been charged with not complying with a COVID-19 direction.

Last month police from the Corrective Services Investigation Unit set up Strike Force Draymar to investigate allegations that contraband was being smuggled into the South Coast Correctional Centre at Nowra.

On Thursday, a 50-year-old Corrective Services NSW officer was arrested and charged with corruption and misconduct offences.

Police seized heroin and methamphetamine when they raided his Shoalhaven home.

It's set to be alleged in court that the woman supplied contraband to the officer, which was then passed onto a prisoner.

The corrections officer, who has been stood down from duty, is accused of trafficking three packages including a mobile phone and drugs in return for $6400.
